Re: My New Game ... still untitled
Update 23/05/2020 I've implemented: An Entity Component System - made some changes to what I had before, so much that I think I should update that article I wrote Thread Pool - I already had an A* algorithm, but while testing against 100 clan members (that's what i'm calling them), in a 400x400 til...

Re: My New Game ... still untitled
I'm thinking about "augmentations" firstly. I think people in the future could have like inbuilt plugs that they can equip augments into, interchangeable like. Because the game is set in a post collapse cyberpunk world, I can see these augments being found rather than being manufactured by...

My New Game ... still untitled
So; I'm burnt out on The Last Boundary. I've spent a long time on it, and I don't even like Visual Novels. The whole story of how that game turned into what it is is sort of funny. But long story short, I woke up one day and said "oh shit, I'm developing a Visual Novel"... Anyway, I got a ...

Re: Why we do this/how I came up with my company name
Now for the real marketing. Its an election year. The game has walls. It has immigrants. It has death camps. It has freedom fighters, socialists, and reactionaries. If I can confirm its a 3/5, I intend on highlighting that you can build walls and keep out immigrants on right wing sites, and highlig...

Re: Why we do this/how I came up with my company name
What price point are you setting for your game? Have you done much marketing (what makes you think you'll sell 5k copies)?

Re: Hi - I'd like to share my hobby project
The way this worked is, I didn't know what I was doing at the start. I started every day working on it 2+ years ago and was amazed I made it 30 days in a row. This was just supposed to be something that got my mind off of my shitty career. I'm pretty sure that's how like... 80% of us hobby devs got...

Re: The Last Boundary
Well; I've got a second demo build done! Man; this took a long time. I'm mostly happy with the results, but it's an incomplete game. Right now, it's just one adventure, an adventure that leaves a lot of questions open. Please download it and play. Let me know of any feedback you have, the harsher th...

Re: Hi - I'd like to share my hobby project
If it's working for you, great. Personally, probably due to time commitment, I get a bit lost if I don't have everything prepared and organised and known before hand. Not much done on feel, all done based on what I documented previously.

Re: Hi - I'd like to share my hobby project
Yeah, it would be nice to have full time devs to work on tools like that (to be able to see why the AI does things). Hotloading and all sounds nice, but in my experience this is what I've learned: Tools, in my experience, are extremely helpful. If you use some sort of UI library, they are rarely co...
