I look forward to seeing how this game turns out.
Combining roguelike, 2d shooter, and visual novel sounds really cool.
It seems like the combination has so many possibilities and so much potential.

Re: Door To Life Feedback
Thank you for playing. I forgot to increase the number of enemies in the labyrinth. I will try to fix the animation bug once and for all and also remove the bug of a bullet being fired when opening a door. I work relatively slowly at this, but it will grow to something more content rich. I am glad I...

Re: Door To Life Feedback
No. The windows build has been crashing for me lately and I haven't fixed it yet.
I'll spend more time on working on it though.
Edit:
I did fix the CMakeLists.txt in git repo so that it works with MinGW compiler. It should also work for Visual Studio or CodeBlocks project.

Re: Door To Life Feedback
I am more familiar with XML and find it easier to read.
I'll need to try JSON. I have heard good things about it.
It is difficult to find documentation for YAML.

Re: Door To Life Feedback
I managed to apply several fixes to the game in github repo. Fixes: -Collision detection is working well now that less collision objects are used. Hole tile is not a collision object anymore. -The game goes back to the title screen after the main character dies instead of ending the program. I still...

Nice.
I want to play this game.
What new mechanics are you thinking of adding?

Re: GRANDIOSE DELUSIONS - I made a 1-bit visual novel
I like the game. It is a good start. However, I would like to experience more from it. I would like to hear music while playing this game. I'm not sure if there isn't music or if it is a bug that music isn't playing. I played this on Windows. There aren't any consequences if I let them choose to liv...
